BOARD OF EDUCATION

INDEPENDENT SCHOOL

DISTRICT NO. 206

ALEXANDRIA, MINNESOTA

FEBRUARY 14, 2011

The special meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 206, Alexandria, Minnesota, was called to order by Board Vice-Chairperson Dave Anderson at 7:00 a.m. in the conference room at Woodland Elementary School, Alexandria, Minnesota.

Board Members Present: Alan Zeithamer, Jean Robley, Sandy Susag, Dave Anderson, and Dean Anderson and ex-officio Superintendent Terry Quist. Absent: Pam Carlson and Jim Hafdal.

Others Present: Trevor Peterson, Paul Ringdahl, and Paul Hennen.

AWARD BID FOR TROX UNITS FOR LINCOLN SCHOOL:

Motion by Dave Anderson, seconded by Zeithamer, to accept and award the bid for Trox units for Lincoln School to Midwest Mechanical Solutions for $226,000.00.

Ayes 4

Nays 0

Motion Carried.

UPDATE ON PLANNING:

Board members received an update on planning for the energy improvement projects at Lincoln Elementary and Discovery Middle School, and on planning that is occurring related to a new high school complex.

ADJOURNMENT:

Motion by Robley, seconded by Zeithamer, that being there is no further business to come before the Board at this time, the special meeting is adjourned at 7:48 a.m.
