FINAL HEARING
SAUK RIVER
WATERSHED DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Managers of the Sauk River Watershed District pursuant to Minnesota Statute 103D.605 will hold a hearing March 15, 2011 at 7:45 P.M. at the Sauk River Watershed District office located at 524 Fourth Street South in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. The purpose of the hearing is to consider and take comments on the Sauk River Stormwater Runoff Reduction and Riparian Restoration Clean Water Fund Project. Funding for this project is from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources.
This project will involve providing financial and technical assistance to local landowners to implement stormwater management and land-use conservation practices within the Sauk River watershed. Total estimated cost for this project is $544,111 with $435,289 being in grant dollars and $108,822 in matching dollars and in-kind contributions from state and local agencies, organizations and landowners. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the above mentioned project and the conservation practices eligible for technical and financial assistance. Funds under this project may only be used to improve existing animal waste issues, stormwater and erosion concerns. Under no condition may these funds be used for litigation requirements, new construction, expansions or for commercial use.
