Alexandria sophomore gymnast Briquelle Bowden recently earned All-Central Lakes Conference honors for her consistency over the course of this season.
Bowden was battling an injury that limited her to just a modified bar routine at the CLC meet on February 12. Even without those scores, she still finished in the top 10 in the individual standings of every event throughout this season.
Bowden earned all conference honors in three events and honorable mention honors in two others. She was All-CLC in the floor, all around and vault categories, finishing fourth, fifth and sixth in those, respectively. She also finished seventh overall on the bars and 10th on the beam.
The All-CLC performers are determined by combining the individual’s places on each event during every conference meet this season.
