Central Lakes Symphony Orchestra to perform concert
Here’s a concert sure to please music lovers of all ages! The Central Lakes Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert Sunday, February 20 at 2 p.m. at the Discovery Middle School auditorium in Alexandria.
Here’s a concert sure to please music lovers of all ages!
The Central Lakes Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert Sunday, February 20 at 2 p.m. at the Discovery Middle School auditorium in Alexandria.
The theme for this concert is “For Children of All Ages.” The 60-member group, under the direction of Brad Lambrecht, will perform the following selections:
• Fanfare for the Common Man by Copland;
• Peter and the Wolf by Prokofiev, with narration by Christopher Worley;
• William Tell Overture by Rossini.
A reception, as well as an instrument petting zoo, will be held following the concert.
Children and their parents will have the opportunity to see, hear, touch and play some of the instruments they heard during the concert. Musicians will be available to help children learn more about the instruments.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and are available at Carlson Music, Cherry Street Books and at the door the day of the concert.
