Explosion damages pig farm in Villard
No one was injured and no livestock lost in an explosion and a fire reported around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday.
No one was injured and no livestock lost in an explosion and a fire reported around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday at the Paul Fiedler pig farm in rural Villard.
According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, the Sauk Centre, Melrose and Villard fire departments, plus the Sauk Centre Ambulance and sheriff’s office, responded to 39753 County Road 26 in Ashley Township of Stearns County.
A maintenance/storage shed was destroyed and several other pig barns were damaged in the explosion.
The explosion remains under investigation.
