Chili cook-off set at Brandon Auditorium

The 2nd annual Chili Cook-off to benefit the Brandon Auditorium Restoration Project will take place on Friday, February 11 from 5 to 9 pm.

The 2nd annual Chili Cook-off to benefit the Brandon Auditorium Restoration Project will take place on Friday, February 11 from 5 to 9 pm.

The event includes chili samples, crackers and beverages. Tickets are $8 for adults and $3 for children ages 4 to 9; children age 3 and younger are free. There will also be a cash bar and a free-will offering dessert bar.

The event is sponsored by the Brandon History Center, with all proceeds going toward Phase II of the restoration of the historic Brandon Auditorium.

Winners of last year’s event, which raised funds for Phase I of the project, included the Team #1 from Gardonville/Brandon Communications (Best Chili Award) and the Brandon Lions Club (People’s Choice Award).

The chili will be judged by a panel of judges from KXRA-Radio including Roy and Patty Wicken and Joe Korkowski, as well as Brandon Mayor Doug Johnson.
