The Alexandria Area Arts Association (AAAA) will present The Dixie Swim Club as its winter play. The show will be held Fridays, February 11 and 18 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, February 12 and 19 at 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays, February 13 and 20 at 2 p.m. All shows are held at the AAAA Theatre, downtown Alexandria.

The Dixie Swim Club is the story of five southern women whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team. The women set aside a weekend every August to recharge those relationships. Free from husbands, kids and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina’s Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other’s lives.

Tickets are $15 for adults. Call the box office at (320) 762-8300 to purchase reserved seats. The box office opens one hour prior to the start of each show.

The Dixie Swim Club will be featured as a Legacy Destination event during February 11 to 13. The Legacy Destination weekend program has been brought to Minnesotans through Minnesota Citizens for the Arts, Conservation Minnesota and Explore Minnesota to share with communities how Legacy grants have been used.
