Area basketball: Laker boys top BOLD 81-58
No. 10 ranked Minnewaska is now 12-2
Rebounding from their first conference loss to Montevideo last week, Minnewaska came back to upend BOLD 81-58 in West Central South Conference play, and propelled the Lakers into the state rankings.
Shane Bosek, who suffered an ankle injury in that loss, came back on Friday to lead the Lakers with 23 points and eight rebounds, while fellow senior Brady Johnsrud added 20 points. Senior Trenton Berg rounded out the players in double figures with 14.
Senior forward Ben Peters made his first appearance this season as he returned from a foot injury, scoring six for the Minnewaska boys, who moved to 7-1 in conference play and 12-2 overall.
BOLD was paced by Brandon Ochs with 14 and Phillip Marks with 10.
