In this case, the old friend is a vintage or antique tractor.
Do you know that there is an antique tractor club in the area? It is the Pioneer Power Club, which was formed back in 1992.
It is a group of tractor enthusiasts interested in preservation and restoration of antique tractors and farm equipment, their accessories, lore and literature.
Monthly meetings take place the fourth Monday of the month at the LaGrand Town Hall at 501 Townhall Road NW, Alexandria.
One of the first events is a tractor display this spring at the Viking Plaza Mall.
Members will also go over the list of parades this summer, a display at Douglas County Fair and annual Fall Plow Day.
The club has about 70 members from a wide area but is always looking for more people to join.
