A local snowmobile race team recently traveled to Eagle River, Wisconsin and brought back plenty of hardware at the Vintage World Championships derby earlier this month.

Driver Jeff Karrow of Alexandria brought home two first-place trophies and one third-place trophy after leaving his mark in the IFS Division. He won all the heats and final competitions throughout the IFS 250 class. Another teammate, Dave Dahl of Miltona, placed seventh out of 45 entries in the 440 super stock class. Other members of the RFN race team include Mark Barrett, Justin Marthaler, Rod Karrow, Todd Chan and Matt Holscher.

The local team had plenty of competition at the World Championships. The Eagle River event brings in more than 1,000 entries from all over the United States and Canada. It features 40 different classes.
