Police offer training to rental property owners

The Alexandria Police Department is hosting free one-day training for rental property owners and/or managers.

The training will take place at Alexandria City Hall on Friday, February 25, beginning at 8 a.m.

Topics covered will include fire safety, evictions, property left behind, unlawful detainers, fair housing and applicant screening, leases and lease agreements, drug information, gang awareness, working with the police department, crime prevention through environmental design, active property management and backgrounds, terrorism awareness and prevention as well as the information needed to know to fully certify a property.
