Fund established for family of Garfield woman who died after collapsing at home

Sarah (Suckstorff) Hoidahl of Garfield died Monday, January 17 at the age of 33 after collapsing at her home on January 12.

Sarah (Suckstorff) Hoidahl of Garfield died Monday, January 17 at the age of 33. She collapsed at her home on Wednesday, January 12, and was taken by ambulance to the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria and transferred to the St. Cloud Hospital where she died five days later.

Hoidahl, a sales associate with American Solutions for Business, began working at the home office in Glenwood in 1997 and recently became an independent sales associate, serving customers in west central Minnesota. She leaves behind her husband, Justin; 7-year-old son, Jayden; and 5-year-old daughter, Kendall, all of Garfield.

American Solutions for Business has established a fund, Hoidahl Family Fund, at Glenwood State Bank to benefit Justin and the children. Donations can be sent to:

Funeral services are Friday, January 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Brandon.
