Gromatka paces Alex Nordic skiers
The Alexandria Nordic ski team had perfect conditions as it battled 17 other schools in a 10K pursuit at Camp Ripley’s biathlon course at the Little Falls Invite on Monday.
The Alexandria Nordic ski team had perfect conditions as it battled 17 other schools in a 10K pursuit at Camp Ripley’s biathlon course at the Little Falls Invite on Monday.
Melissa Gromatka had the top individual finish for the Cardinal girls. She finished 26th in a time of 46:15. Julie Sieling (58th, 49:58), Leah Stinson (74th, 51:20) and Katie Lovrien (85th, 52:31) rounded out the top four finishers for the Alexandria girls.
Jimmy Lovrien paced the Cardinal boys. He finished 30th in 38:49. Tyler Johnson was 33rd in a time of 39:09. Cody Call was right behind in 38th place with his time of 39:51, while Todd Johnson rounded out the Alexandria varsity’s top four with a time of 43:42 for 72nd place.
The Cardinals will prepare for their home invite tomorrow, Saturday. Races are scheduled to start at 10 a.m. at Discovery Middle School.
