Area residents are winners in Chippewa River Watershed Project photo contest

The Chippewa River Watershed Project (CRWP) sponsored its fourth annual photo contest to highlight people and places of the Chippewa River Watershed.

The Chippewa River Watershed Project (CRWP) sponsored its fourth annual photo contest to highlight people and places of the Chippewa River Watershed.

Winning photographs are featured in a 2011 calendar. Twenty-six photographers submitted a total of 55 entries in the contest.

“The calendar is such a special way to highlight photography talents and share the beauty and opportunities of the Chippewa River Watershed,” said Jennifer Hoffman, watershed specialist. “It's a program that people seem to really enjoy and is a great way to get our message out to the public.”

The CRWP had an independent review committee judge the photos. The top 12 photos were selected for the calendar, and CRWP staff assigned a winning photo for each month.

The 2011 calendars featuring the photo contest winners are available through the CRWP by calling (320) 269-2139 extension 120 or e-mailing jennifer.hoffman@charterinternet.com. Supplies are limited.
