Jefferson High School bands to present winter concert
The Alexandria Jefferson High (JHS) School Bands will present their annual winter band concert on Monday, January 24 at 7 p.m. in the JHS gym.
The Alexandria Jefferson High (JHS) School Bands will present their annual winter band concert on Monday, January 24 at 7 p.m. in the JHS gym.
Featured ensembles include Jazz II, Jazz I, the Concert Band, the Symphonic Band and the Wind Ensemble.
The bands will present many different types of literature including big band standards, marches, contemporary overtures, ballads, folk standards and original movie soundtrack arrangements.
Senior saxophonist Rachel Astrup will be a featured soloist with the Wind Ensemble on Antonio Capuzzi’s Classical Rondo.
