West Central Minnesota Communities Action, Inc. is seeking organizations interested in a seat on its board of directors.
This seat provides a representative for the private sector of Pope County and is open immediately.
West Central MN Communities Action, Inc. is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to reducing the effects of poverty and helping people to achieve self-sufficiency and improving the quality of rural life.
The board of directors meets monthly, on the fourth Tuesday in the early evening.
The board consists of 15 members – one-third are public officials, one-third are low-income representatives elected by their respective counties and one-third are private sector board members.
The public sector board members include officials, members, or representatives of business, private social groups, industry, labor, religious organizations, private educations institutions, chambers of commerce, lending institutions, farm organizations, cooperatives, non-profit organizations, employment organizations, minority groups, social service organization or other major private groups.
WCMCA will give preference to board candidates that have legal or financial expertise. The candidate must serve the Pope County population.
