LAT presents last performance of 'Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar'

Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria continues this week with its last performance from the Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar series. Find out at Friday night's live performance on January 7 at 7 p.m. how Johnny solves the "Murder is a Merry-Go-Round" mystery. Philip Goellner plays the insurance investigator, Johnny Dollar.

Remember The Life of Riley series? If that brought a smile, you won't want to miss the live performance of a show from that series entitled The Lawnmower on stage at LAT on Friday, January 14 at 7 p.m.

The concluding episode of the Johnny Dollar show, The Matter of the Medium, Well Done, will air on KXRA 1490 AM radio on Sunday, January 8 at 12:30 p.m.

Both shows were adapted and directed by Paul Shoenack. Each Johnny Dollar show is sponsored by Billmark's Insurance.

LAT is offering some performing arts classes this winter through Alexandria Community Education. Theatrical play directing and stage combat for women and men will be taught by Dan Perdue, who has more than 20 years of experience in educational theater production.

Theater set design and construction will be taught by John Thalmann, who also has more than 20 years of theatrical and set experience. The set design class will culminate in the construction of the set for the Alexandria Area Arts Association's winter production of Dixie Swim Club.
