Card gymnastics: Alexandria tumbles past Fergus Falls
Briquelle Bowden takes first in all-around
The Cardinal gymnastics team continued to show improvements this season after picking up a win over Central Lakes Conference rival Fergus Falls last Tuesday.
Alexandria got big nights from Briquelle and Tahlia Bowden that helped lead their team to a 131.05-119.55 win over the Otters.
Briquelle finished first in the all-around with a score of 35.3. She took top honors on the bars (9.05) and on her floor routine (9.35). She also finished second on the vault (9.0) and fourth on the beam (7.9).
Tahlia was right behind her in the all around. She finished second with a total score of 34.0. Tahlia was first on the beam (8.95), second on the floor (8.5), third on the bars (8.15) and fifth on the vault (8.6).
