Snowy roads keep troopers busy
For a 24-hour period that started Monday at 7 a.m. and continued to 7 a.m. on Tuesday, the Minnesota State Patrol responded to several calls for service as a winter storm hit the Red River Valley.
For a 24-hour period that started Monday at 7 a.m. and continued to 7 a.m. on Tuesday, the Minnesota State Patrol responded to several calls for service as a winter storm hit the Red River Valley.
During this period, troopers responded to 80 vehicles that had slid off the road, some receiving very minor damage.
Troopers also responded to 16 other crashes resulting in substantial damage, including rollovers.
Three of those crashes resulted in minor injuries.
Most of the calls for service were located along the I94 corridor from Moorhead to Alexandria.
