You are invited to Christmas dinner at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Alexandria.
This sit-down dinner is served on Christmas Day, December 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is open to everyone who might be spending the day of Christ’s birth alone.
This is the 18th year of the event, which has become a community tradition for those who attend as guests and those who volunteer to host.
Several churches and businesses in the community donate to the celebration .
The church is located at 221 Seventh Avenue West in Alexandria and is completely barrier free, with a ramp and elevator available.
A traditional dinner of meatballs, ham, potatoes, salad and Christmas cookies will be served.
The dinner is at no cost. However, donations are accepted. Money raised beyond the cost of the meal is donated to the Douglas County Outreach Food Shelf.
