A 32-year-old Garfield woman suffered serious injuries in a three-vehicle crash near Garfield this morning.
The crash happened at the intersection of County Roads 22 and 6 at about 7:15 a.m.
Amanda Warren was driving east on County Road 22 and making a left turn on to County Road 6 when a full-sized Dodge truck struck her vehicle from the rear, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Warren's vehicle was pushed out into the westbound lane of traffic and then struck by a Dodge mini van that was traveling west on County Road 22.
The Garfield Fire Department was called to extract Warren from the vehicle and North Ambulance transported her to the Douglas County Hospital. She was later air lifted by Life Link Helicopter to the Hennepin County Medical Center. Her condition is unknown at this time.
The name of the 16-year-old driver of the truck is being withheld by authorities. The driver of the mini van was Greg Toivonen of Alexandria.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
