BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

REGULAR SESSION

OCTOBER 26, 2010

The Board of Commissioners in and for the County of Douglas, State of Minnesota, met in Regular Session this 26th day of October, 2010. Following is a summary of actions taken at that meeting. The full text is available for public inspection in the County Auditor/Treasurer’s office.

To approve the agenda with additions. Motion carried.

To approve minutes of the October 12th, 2010 Regular meeting as submitted. Motion carried.

To adopt the following resolution approving property tax abatement (a copy of the tax abatement agreement is available in the Coordinator’s Office). Motion carried.

To pay bills in the amount of $244,503.98. Motion carried.

To adopt Resolution 10-62 approving a gambling permit. Motion carried.

To acknowledge payment of Public Health bills for the month of September, 2010. Motion carried.

By consensus, the Public Works Planning Meeting was scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16th at Public Works.

To approve the drainage request of John Bitzan on the main branch of County Ditch 4-16. Motion carried.

To accept the recommendation of the Planning Commission and approve the conditional use permit for Mark W. and Kim J. Deterding parcel number 12-0660-000 to allow the storage of boat lifts and docks with conditions. Motion carried.

To accept the recommendation of the Planning Commission and approve the preliminary plat of Erlandson Estates with one condition. Motion carried.

To accept the recommendation of the Planning Commission and approve the preliminary plat of Miltona Sunrise Fourth with conditions. Motion carried.

To accept the Natural Resources Block Grant for 2011 and authorize the County Board Chair to sign. Motion carried.

To approve the final plat of Zastrow Acres. Motion carried.

To approve the final plat of Ruby’s Second Addition. Motion carried.

To approve the final plat of Spring Grove 1st Addition. Motion carried.

To accept donations to the STS program in the Sheriff’s office. Motion carried.

To approve Douglas County participating in the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon program and appointed Commissioner Bales sit on that committee. Motion carried.

To approve the partial refund of a liquor license to Anderson’s Outpost. Motion carried.

To move into Closed Session per MN Statute 13D to discuss labor negotiations. Motion carried.

To return to Regular Session and adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
