There will be ice skating on Lake Carlos, a bonfire and snowshoeing/hiking. Warm up in the visitor’s center with activities and naturalist programs.
Snowshoe rental is available for $6 a pair and cross-country ski rental for $10 per day, limited to sizes on hand. A portion of Lake Carlos will be worked to provide a smooth skating surface.
The bonfire will take place after sundown. A park sticker is all that is required to enter the park and enjoy the events. The stickers are $5 for a daily pass and $25 for an annual pass.
The park entrance is located 10 miles north of Alexandria on State Highway 29, then two miles west on Highway 38.
