Santa excites and delights
Although the weather outside was supposed to be frightful, the turnout for the Echo Press Santa Day was still delightful.
Although the weather outside was supposed to be frightful, the turnout for the Echo Press Santa Day was still delightful.
About 120 children and their families came to the newspaper office on a snowy Saturday morning to have a picture taken with Santa.
They also brought along non-perishable food items – enough to fill 10 big grocery boxes. Echo Press workers delivered the items, along with $55 in cash donations, to the Douglas County Outreach Food Shelf this week.
Photos of all the children are now available for pick up at the Echo Press office during regular office hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
The photos will also be printed in a special Santa section of the newspaper on Friday, December 17.
This marked the 13th year the Echo Press has hosted Santa Day.
