Businesses invited to participate in job fair

The Lakes Area Business and Employers Council is looking for businesses from throughout the region to participate in the 2011 Greater Alexandria Area Job Resource Fair.

Attention, business owners in the region, especially those who have jobs to fill:

The Lakes Area Business and Employers Council is looking for businesses from throughout the region to participate in the 2011 Greater Alexandria Area Job Resource Fair.

The event will be taking place on Wednesday, February 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Alexandria Technical and Community College Law Enforcement Gymnasium.

The 2010 Greater Alexandria Area Job Resource Fair was an excellent success, according to organizers, with approximately 800 job seekers attending to meet with employers representing the manufacturing, healthcare, education, service, retail, and other sectors.

This event is an excellent opportunity to promote current and future openings to job seekers from throughout the region and to build a database of resumes and contacts to meet an organization’s future staffing needs, according to the council.

Job seekers represent all age groups, skill sets, and experience levels and have included students and individuals from throughout west central Minnesota.

Any business and employer located within approximately 60 miles of Alexandria area looking to connect with potential employees can participate in the 2011 Greater Alexandria Area Job Resource Fair.

For more information or to print a registration/information form, go to www.alexandriajobfair.com or call the Alexandria Work Force Center at (320) 762-7800.
