Alexandria's Rosey Erickson advanced to the finals of the 50 freestyle after finishing eighth during her preliminary swim this afternoon.
Erickson finished in 24.48 seconds at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. Event-favorite Amanda Paulson of Monticello finished first in the prelims with a time of 23.56. Minnewaska's Bridget Opdahl did not qualify for the finals, finishing 23rd in 25.50 seconds.
Erickson also swam in the 100 freestyle, where she finished 21st with a time of 56.25. Erickson and the rest of the Class A finalists will kick off the final day of competition at noon on Saturday.
