The culvert replacement project on Highway 28 near Starbuck has been postponed, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. It was scheduled to begin November 17.

The bids for the project came in high based on the amount of work required for the project. This is due to several factors, including the price of bituminous this time of year and forecasted low temperatures. The project will be rebid next year to spare the extra expense of these factors.

Mn/DOT maintenance crews will stabilize the existing culvert and surrounding area for the winter and spring months until the culvert can be replaced next year. This work will not require a detour.
