Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash near Staples Sunday morning.
Wyatt Wilder-Pettit, 20, of Wadena was driving south on Todd County Road 11 north of Thorn Apple Road at about 6 a.m. when he lost control of his 2000 Chevrolet Suburban, slid into the northbound lane and struck a 1991 Chevrolet pickup driven by Steven Okeefe of Verndale head-on, according to the Todd County Sheriff's Office.
Okeefe and his passenger, Chris Mayhew of Buffalo were both taken by Staples Ambulance to the Staples Hospital. Their condition isn't known.
Wyatt and his passenger, Andrea Wiese of Verndale, were not hurt, according to the sheriff's office.
Both vehicles were a total loss.
The Staples Police Department and Verndale Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
