This month, Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County received a matching funds challenge grant of up to $25,000 from Tastefully Simple.
Between now and December 31, 2010 the first 100 donors to enroll in Habitat’s new Homebuilders Club monthly giving program will have their donations matched dollar-for-dollar.
“We are excited to launch this new monthly giving program,” said Habitat’s Executive Director Lori Anderson. “It is an affordable way for donors to support our mission and we are thankful for the challenge grant from Tastefully Simple.”
Through the Homebuilders Club monthly giving program, donors can budget a small donation each month through direct debit.
Money received through the monthly giving club will directly benefit future Habitat partner families, Anderson said.
Habitat homeowner Karen Hildebrandt believes in the importance of being home for the holidays.
“My boys and I have a lot to be thankful for this year,” she said. “We have a permanent home in a wonderful, generous community.”
