Students named to CLC ensembles
The following Jefferson High School Jazz Band students were selected for the Central Lakes All-Conference (CLC) Jazz ensembles.
The following Jefferson High School Jazz Band students were selected for the Central Lakes All-Conference (CLC) Jazz ensembles. The students were chosen for being the top jazz musicians in the CLC.
Jazz I: Rachel Astrup, alto saxophone I; Peter Brackin, tenor saxophone I; Spencer Brand, trumpet I; Spencer Christensen, guitar.
Jazz II: Leah Stinson, tenor saxophone II; Ethan Favor-Jackson, baritone saxophone; Bennett Freitag, trombone I; Candace Kallevig, trumpet IV; Alex Blaser, piano.
This year, Tech High School will host the sixth annual CLC All-Conference Jazz rehearsal and performance. The students will rehearse all day Monday, November 15 and will conclude the event with a concert at 7 p.m. at Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School.
The concert will feature Jazz I, Jazz II and “Story City,” a professional jazz group comprised of McNally Smith College of Music staff members. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students.
