JHS band, orchestra concerts scheduled

The Alexandria Jefferson High School (JHS) bands and orchestras will perform concerts.

The ochestra concert is Thursday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the JHS gymnasium. Orchestras performing include the Sinfonia and Philharmonia, with a special performance by the Rainbow Strings. The orchestras are directed by Brad Lambrecht.

The JHS bands will perform their annual fall concert on Monday, November 1 at the JHS gym at 7:30 p.m.

Groups featured will include the Jefferson Concert Band, the Jefferson Symphonic Band and the Jefferson Wind Ensemble.

A variety of concert literature will be presented, including marches, overtures, classical transcriptions and programmatic music.
