Tractor and dump truck crash near Leaf Valley

A tractor driver was injured in a crash with a dump truck near Leaf Valley Friday.

The accident happened at about 5:15 p.m. on County Road 12 in Leaf Valley Township. Chad Stueve of Miltona was southbound in a tandem axle dump truck and attempted to pass a tractor driven by Kristie Suchy of Brandon. Suchy was turning left into a driveway and a collision occurred, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Suchy was ejected from the tractor. She suffered non-threatening life injuries and was taken to the Douglas County Hospital by North Ambulance.

The crash is under investigation by the sheriff's office. Others responding to the scene included Parkers Prairie Ambulance, Leaf Valley First Responders and the Minnesota State Patrol.
