Fire destroyed a barn near Millerville Sunday afternoon.
The Douglas County Law Enforcement Center received a 911 call about the fire at the James and Michelle Shores farm at 19460 County Road 53 NW shortly before 2 p.m.
When Millerville firefighters and Douglas County sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene, they found the barn engulfed in flames.
There was no livestock inside of the barn, which was a total loss. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, according to the sheriff's office.
