Mount Carmel Ministries will hold its third Big Book retreat Friday, October 22 to Sunday, October 24.

The Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is not just for alcoholics anymore. Paul F., the speaker at the retreat, has years of experience in leading people to new freedom with insights from the Big Book.

His goal is to help participants experience what the Big Book and 12 steps were meant to achieve when they were first created by the founders of AA. The Big Book was written to help people with all addictive habits.

The weekend schedule is as follows:

Friday, October 22 – Step 1, 7 p.m.

Saturday, October 23 – Steps 2-5, 9 a.m. to noon; steps 6 to 9, 6:30 to 9 p.m.; the afternoon provides the opportunity to take a moral inventory with another participant.

Sunday, October 24 – Steps 10 to 12, 9 to 11 a.m.

All events will take place at Mount Carmel, located on Lake Carlos. There is no charge for the events, just for the meals and housing. For information, visit the website www.bigbookretreat.com or call Mount Carmel at (320) 846-2744.
