NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION

INDEPENDENT SCHOOL

DISTRICT NO. 206

ALEXANDRIA

STATE OF MINNESOTA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the general election has been called and will be held in and for Independent School District No. 206, (Alexandria), State of Minnesota, on Tuesday, the 2nd day of November, 2010, for the purpose of electing four school board members for four year terms.

The precincts and the polling places for this election will be as follows:

Alexandria Ward 1, Precinct 1: Alexandria City Hall

Alexandria Ward 1, Precinct 2: Shalom Lutheran Church

Alexandria Ward 2, Precinct 1: Calvary Lutheran Church

Alexandria Ward 2, Precinct 2: Bethesda Lutheran Church

Alexandria Ward 3, Precinct 1: Alexandria City Hall

Alexandria Ward 3, Precinct 2: Alexandria City Hall

Alexandria Ward 4: Calvary Lutheran Church

Alexandria Ward 5: Congregational Church

City of Carlos: Carlos Town Hall

City of Forada: Forada City Fire Hall

City of Garfield: Garfield City Hall

City of Miltona: Miltona Community Center

City of Nelson: Nelson City Hall

Alexandria Township: Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

Belle River Township: St. Nicholas Church

Brandon Township: Brandon City Hall

Carlos Township: Carlos Town Hall

Holmes City Township: Holmes City Town Hall

Hudson Township: Forada City Hall

Ida Township: Ida Town Hall

LaGrand Township: LaGrand Town Hall

Lake Mary Township: Lake Mary Town Hall

Leaf Valley Township: Leaf Valley Town Hall

Miltona Township: Miltona Community Center

Moe Township: Moe Town Hall

Osakis Township: Osakis Community Center

Spruce Hill Township: Spruce Hill Town Hall

Reno Township in Pope County – Lowry Community Center

Any eligible voter residing in the school district may vote at said election at the polling place designated above for the precinct in which he or she resides. The polls for said election will open at 7 o'clock a.m. and will close at 8 o'clock p.m. on the date of said election.

A voter must be registered to vote to be eligible to vote in this election. An unregistered individual may register to vote at the polling place on election day.
