Paid Political Letter - Larson will bring fresh perspective to county

To the editor:

I write to endorse Chad Larson for Douglas County attorney. As the sheriff of Pope County, I have worked closely with Chad in fighting crime for the past 10 years. As an Alexandria native and resident, Chad travels to Pope County every day, where he currently serves as senior assistant Pope County attorney.

I have worked with a lot of attorneys in my career in law enforcement. I can tell you that Chad is hard working, extremely committed, accessible, thoughtful and well informed. Chad considers the impact that his decisions will have on crime victims, the community and defendants. He is firm, but fair. I appreciate his loyalty and openness to the law enforcement community and know that he will bring the fresh perspective Douglas County deserves.

Being a close neighbor to Douglas County, I am aware that some changes are needed. A vote for Chad Larson will be a vote for positive change.

While we share the same last name, we are not related, but I am proud to call him a good friend and excellent partner in the fight against crime in Pope County. He works tirelessly for us and will for you, too.
