Bids totaling more than $3.1 million were awarded at last Tuesday’s Douglas County Board meeting for the remodeling project at the Douglas County Courthouse.

Contracts were awarded for 22 categories of work, including everything from concrete, roofing and steel to detention equipment and fire protection.

Here is a breakdown of all categories and who was awarded the contracts:

• Earthwork/utilities – Mark Lee Excavating, Inc., $62,997.

• Concrete – Peters Construction, Inc., $68,000.

• Precast concrete – Gage Brothers Concrete Products, $25,610.

• Masonry – Peters Construction, Inc., $229,600.

• Steel supply – Thurnbeck Steel Fabrication, Inc., $64,400.

• Carpentry – W. Gohman Construction Company, $82,604.

• Roofing – Buttweilers Do All, Inc., $26,840.

• Joint sealants – Ellenson Caulking, LLC, $13,995.

• Standard doors, frames, hardware – Sell Hardware, Inc., $33,350.

• Aluminum entrances and glazing – Heartland Glass Company, Inc., $28,997.

• Tile – Grazzini Brothers and Company, $11,870.

• Acoustical treatments – Central Suspensions, Inc., $11,600.

• Flooring – Cullens Home Center, $10,369.

• Painting – Geo’s Paint and Finish, LLC – $20,470.

• Detention equipment – Stronghold Industries, Inc., $24,900.

• Fire protection – Breth-Zenzen, $36,390.

• Mechanical/plumbing – Gustafson Mechanical, Inc., $182,640.

• HVAC – Chappell Central, Inc., $145,000.

• Testing/adjusting and balance – Systems Management and Balancing of Minnesota, $6,900.

• Electrical – Augusta Electric, Inc., $249,900.

The Douglas County commissioners approved all the bid contracts.
