Card swimming and diving: Alexandria falls to Brainerd

The Alexandria swimming and diving team ran into a buzz saw against a good Brainerd team on the road last Thursday night.

The Warriors won the first six events and never looked back on their way to a 135-50 win over the Cardinals. Rosey Erickson and Megan Bristow got the only wins for Alexandria. Erickson’s came in the 100 freestyle in a time of 58.65, while Bristow won the 100 breaststroke in 1:17.96.

The Warriors put on a good showing in front of their home crowd on Parents’ Night. They had eight 1-2 finishes and three 1-2-3 finishes to help them run away with things.

The loss dropped Alexandria to 1-8 overall and 1-7 in the Central Lakes Conference.
