New I-94 bridge by Monticello to open to traffic

Beginning Sunday, October 10 at 10 p.m., motorists traveling eastbound on Interstate 94 in Monticello will be switched onto the new permanent alignment. Traffic will be using the newly constructed eastbound I-94 bridge.

The ramp from Wright County Highway 18 to eastbound I-94 will open to traffic at the same time.

On the morning of Monday, October 11, Broadway Street will be closed to traffic from Meadow Oak Avenue to Hart Boulevard, to allow crews to demolish the old westbound I-94 bridge and complete the construction of Broadway Street under I-94. Broadway Street will remain closed until early November.

The entire project is scheduled for completion in early November, weather permitting.
