Free basic computer, writing skills classes offered at ATCC
Through District 206 Community Education, the Alexandria Area Adult Basic Education (ABE) Consortium is partnering with Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC) to offer a free non-credit Basic Computer and Writing Skills prep class at ATCC this fall.
Through District 206 Community Education, the Alexandria Area Adult Basic Education (ABE) Consortium is partnering with Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC) to offer a free non-credit Basic Computer and Writing Skills prep class at ATCC this fall.
Since this course is being offered at no cost to the first 20 qualified applicants, early registration is recommended. The registration deadline is October 11.
Classes will run Mondays and Wednesdays beginning October 18 and ending December 8. The course will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The class will focus on basic computer skills using Office 2007 applications. It will prepare students for success in ATCC’s Intro to Computer class. In addition, basic college writing skills will be covered, preparing students for future college coursework.
