Fifteen youth and three adults from Bethesda Lutheran Church in Alexandria spent this past weekend learning about poverty, homelessness and social Injustice. The group volunteered at Arc and a Native American food shelf in Minneapolis and had the chance to visit with a former "chronically homeless" man who is now attending college and advocating for those less fortunate. The youth will be sharing their urban immersion story this Sunday at Bethesda, 1204 North Nokomis, at the 9:30 a.m. worship service.
