Pioneer Public Television, in cooperation with the Willmar area League of Women Voters, will air Meet the Candidate forums on Thursday evening, September 30, featuring Minnesota State House of Representatives candidates from District 11B.
District 11B Independence candidate Bert Pexsa, Miltona; Republican candidate Mary Franson, Alexandria; and DFL candidate Amy Hunter, Staples, are scheduled to appear live beginning at 8 p.m.
The Meet the Candidate forums are being aired on Thursday evenings to provide constituents an opportunity to hear candidates in an unbiased setting. Moderated by Amy Doll-Wohlers, viewers are invited to phone their questions to Pioneer at 1-800-726-3178 during each program or e-mail at yourtv@pioneer.org.
General Manager Les Heen said, “The vast regions of our rural districts make it difficult for voters to see their candidates side by side. The Meet the Candidate setting is a perfect opportunity for Pioneer to help educate everyone before the elections in November.”
The candidate forum series is made possible with financial support from the League of Rural Voters.
Pioneer Public Television is a 42-year-old viewer supported educational television facility entrusted to promote economic development by facilitating educational growth, supporting cultural opportunities and enhancing the quality of life in our broadcast area.
Programming may be currently viewed on KWCM Channel 10 from Appleton, KSMN Channel 20 from Worthington and UHF Channel 49 from Fergus Falls.
