The Cardinal cheerleaders are back to keep school spirit alive in Alexandria.
Despite losing nine athletes, Alexandria will return 11 letter winners to the cheer squad for 2010.
This year, the Cardinals will be adding a new mascot program and will
“We are excited to promote “Top 20” in the school and to continue with school spirit and Cardinal Nation nights,” said Alexandria cheerleading advisor Katie Jo Swaggert. “The girls are working on college level dancing and stunting. I think this is the best group we have seen in the entire program.”
Captains for this year include Jasmine Everett, Erin Stumpf and Candace Kallevig.
The cheer squad will lead during all home football and volleyball events.
