Association of University Women sets kick-off meeting
The fall kick-off meeting of the Alexandria Area Branch AAUW (formerly known as the American Association of University Women) will be held on Thursday, September 16.
The fall kick-off meeting of the Alexandria Area Branch AAUW (formerly known as the American Association of University Women) will be held on Thursday, September 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC).
The program will be presented by Joanna Pucel and Janet Lore of St. Cloud. Both are long-time AAUW members and former presidents of both AAUW Minnesota and the St. Cloud branch. Pucel is presently the college/university representative from St. Cloud State University and will speak on a possible role for the ATCC as a college/university partner.
The Alexandria Area Branch AAUW is one of more than 1,000 branches in a nationwide network of more than 100,000 members and donors and 500 college/university partners. The AAUW mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.
Membership in AAUW is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution. Student affiliates are those who do not already hold a degree but are enrolled in a two or four year regionally accredited institution.
