Local engineering firm hired to design Wadena-Deer Creek school

Widseth Smith Nolting and Perkins+Will were selected as the design team by the Wadena-Deer Creek School District for the reconstruction of the middle school/high school that was destroyed in a June 17 tornado.

Widseth Smith Nolting and Perkins+Will were selected as the design team by the Wadena-Deer Creek School District for the reconstruction of the middle school/high school that was destroyed in a June 17 tornado.

The official action took place at the school board’s meeting held on September 1.

“We are honored to help the community rebuild its educational future and overcome this summer’s devastating events,” said Kevin Donnay, director of architecture of Widseth Smith Nolting.

WSN is a multi-disciplined firm of more than 140 employees providing engineering, architectural, land surveying, and environmental services.

Its offices are located in Alexandria, Baxter, Bemidji, Crookston, Red Wing, Rochester and Grand Forks, North Dakota.
