A Perham, Minn., man was killed Tuesday when his pickup was broadsided by a semi in Minnesota’s Itasca County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, William Doll, 64, was driving east on Itasca County Road 4 when he failed to yield to a northbound semi.
Douglas Scheper, 44, of Bigfork, Minn., was driving the semi northbound on County Road 6, the report said. The left front side of Scheper’s truck hit the right front of Doll’s 1996 GMC Safari truck.
Doll died at the scene. Scheper was taken to Bigfork Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and released.
The State Patrol reported alcohol was not a factor in the crash but Doll was not wearing a seat belt.
