Mission trip teaches life lessons
Fifteen youth and adults from Bethesda Lutheran Church in Alexandria traveled to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
Fifteen youth and adults from Bethesda Lutheran Church in Alexandria traveled to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan for a mission trip this past July. While there, the students and chaperones volunteered at the War Memorial Hospital, Sault Indian Reservation, a local nursing home, Habitat for Humanity, Kids Club and helped refurbish a motel that houses refugees fleeing from religious persecution. They all helped those less fortunate and arrived back in Alexandria with a greater appreciation for what they have been blessed with. A short presentation on the trip will be given on Sunday, October 17 at noon at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 1204 North Nokomis. For information on the mission trip or other youth activities, contact Karen at (320) 763-5164.
