Tour of Manufacturing to be held October 30

Manufacturing isn’t what it used to be, and you’re invited to come find out for yourself just how far the industry has come.

Technology and globalization have changed the manufacturing industry dramatically.

Manufacturing is continually evolving, and it is seeking highly skilled employees to meet the challenges of growing demand.

Eight local manufacturing companies are inviting the public to take a closer look at their facilities, products, and businesses – Aagard, Alexandria Extrusion Company, Donnelly Custom Manufacturing, Douglas Machine Inc., Douglas Scientific LLC, ITW Heartland, Massman Automation Designs LLC, and WASP Inc.

The manufacturers invite you to take a tour of their facilities between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on October 30.

The following organizations are supporting the event – Tri-State Manufacturers Association, West Central Initiative, Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission, and Alexandria Technical and Community College.
