Volunteer for adult literacy

The Alexandria Literacy Project is sponsoring a volunteer orientation session for new or prospective volunteers on Tuesday, September 21 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The Alexandria Literacy Project is sponsoring a volunteer orientation session for new or prospective volunteers on Tuesday, September 21 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the new Adult Basic Education location inside the Alexandria Technical and Community College Interior Design Center, 1204 Highway 27 West. During this volunteer orientation, participants will learn about the Alexandria Literacy Project’s goals, services and volunteer opportunities.

Attendance at a volunteer orientation session is a prerequisite to attending the basic literacy tutor training workshop. This two-part workshop will be held at the same location on both Tuesday, October 5 and 12 from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.
