Pexsa seeks District 11B post as Independence candidate

Pexsa said he cares about outstate Minnesota, its families, farmers, businesses and small rural communities.
As a tax and business accountant, Pexsa said his main priority as representative will be to keep taxes low and to create and keep permanent jobs.
Pexsa is a lifetime resident of District 11B. He grew up on a dairy farm three miles from Miltona and still farms on the original homestead, fourth generation. He was elected to the Douglas County Farm Service Agency board and served four years as chairman.
Pexsa has an associate degree in accounting from Alexandria Technical College and has 15 years experience in the public accounting profession as a tax and business accountant, along with five years as a volunteer with the Minnesota Department of Revenue, preparing taxes for the elderly and low-income residents of Douglas County.
As a National Rifle Association member, avid hunter and sportsman, Pexsa said he believes in protecting the environment, the right to hunt, private property rights and the right to keep and bear arms.
Pexsa said he will stand strong for American freedoms and for all troops and veterans who have fought and died to protect those freedoms.
Throughout the years, Pexsa has been involved in many community volunteer positions – member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie; started the Parents Advisory Committee at Parkers Prairie school; licensed referee with the Minnesota State High School League athletics; and volunteer cast member for the Alexandria Area Arts Association.
Pexsa has been married to his wife, Kathy, for 37 years. She is a nurse at Broadway Medical Center in Alexandria. They have three grown children, Grant and Cami Pexsa, Laurie and Michael Maras, Ryan and Kelley Pexsa, and seven grandchildren.
